Chemically modified graphene oxide nanocarriers provide a targeted lung cancer gene therapy platform. In a 3D tumor microenvironment model, these nanocarriers deliver therapeutic genes, regulate immune markers, and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Combined gene delivery enhances cancer cell elimination, demonstrating the potential of this approach for

NH2-terminal amino acids of the serum lipoproteins of normal and hypercholesterolemic rabbits*
Aspartic acid is the major and glutamic acid and serine are minor NH2-terminal amino acids of the lipoproteins of rabbit serum. No NH2-terminal amino acids other than these are found after prolonged cholesterol feeding.

Phospholipides containing amino acids other than serine. I. Detection [PDF]
In view of the widespread occurrence of the amino acid-containing lipides and the unique course of their metabolism during development of Drosophila, we have carried out extensive investigations concerned with their isolation and chemical nature.

The recoverability of fingerprints on paper exposed to elevated temperatures - Part 2: natural fluorescence [PDF]
Previous work by the authors [1] investigated the recoverability of fingerprints on paper which had been exposed to elevated temperatures by comparing various chemical enhancement techniques (ninhydrin, 1,8-diazafluoren-9-one (DFO), and physical ...

Interleukin‐18 signaling promotes activation of hepatic stellate cells in mouse liver fibrosis
Interleukin‐18 signaling promotes activation of hepatic stellate cells in mouse liver fibrosis. Abstract Background and Aims Nucleotide‐binding oligomerization domain‐like receptor‐family pyrin domain‐containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome activation has been shown to result in liver fibrosis.

Substrate specificity and structural investigation into PepO and PepW : two peptidases from Lactobacillus rhamnosus : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Biochemistry at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]
The proteolytic systems of lactic acid bacteria have important roles in the maturation and flavour development of cheese. Lactic acid bacteria pepetidases contribute to the taste of cheese through the production of low-molecular weight peptides and free ...
