Proposed gut‐vascular framework linking microbial ecology to atherosclerotic disease. Diet and related exposures shape dysbiosis or microbial resilience; resulting changes in SCFAs, TMAO, bile acids, and LPS may modulate endothelial function, immune activation, and platelet activity, contributing to atherosclerosis, ACS, and PAD.

Evaluation of periodontal health in patients taking atorvastatin
Introduction: Periodontal disease as a chronic inflammatory condition is more prevalent in adults. Considering the anti-inflammatory effect of statins and the need to find out the effects of these drugs on the prevention and treatment of periodontal ...

Lactoferrin and Nanotechnology: New Insights Into Glioblastoma Therapy
Current glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) management primarily relies on surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy; however, therapeutic efficacy remains limited due to tumor invasiveness and restricted drug penetration across the blood–brain barrier. Lactoferrin (LF), an iron‐binding glycoprotein with receptor‐mediated transport capability, has emerged as a

Tryptophan metabolism modulates CRC via three microbiota‐regulated pathways with distinct dual‐mode effects. The kynurenine pathway provides biomarkers, serotonin pathway supports SSRI‐combined immunotherapy, indole pathway yields immunostimulatory metabolites, collectively offering translational prospects.

Mechanistic Dichotomy in Enantioselective Pd‐Catalyzed Alkylation of Pyrroles With Diazoesters
Ligand‐controlled mechanistic divergence controls the Pd‐catalyzed asymmetric alkylation of pyrroles with diazoesters. While bipyridine ligands promote a conventional metal‐carbene pathway, bipyridine‐N,N′‐dioxide ligands redirect catalysis through electrophilic CH metalation before carbene transfer.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of global morbidity and mortality, encompassing coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, and cerebrovascular disorders. The global burden of CVD continues to rise, driven by complex interactions among endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, inflammation,

Bile acid metabolism and signaling in human and animal health: A One Health perspective
Bile acids maintain host homeostasis through enterohepatic circulation, microbial transformation, and bile acid receptor signaling, thereby regulating glucose and lipid metabolism, intestinal barrier integrity, and immunity. These effects support human disease intervention and health‐oriented animal production, reducing drug dependence and residue ...
