Spin exchange dominated by charge fluctuations of the Wigner lattice in the newly synthesized chain cuprate Na5Cu3O6 [PDF]
Na5Cu3O6, a new member of one dimensional charge ordered chain cuprates, was synthesized via the azide/nitrate route by reacting NaN3, NaNO3 and CuO. According to single crystal X-ray analysis, one dimensional CuO2 chains built up from planar, edge-sharing CuO4 squares are a dominant feature of the crystal structure.

Simultaneous utilization of calix[4]pyrrole‐ and crown ether‐based molecular recognition allows the construction of a high molecular weight alternating supramolecular polymer. This heat processible polymer can be used as a durable and reusable adhesive on glass and steel with temperature‐enhanced adhesion strength without the need for a solvent ...

Butyl 2-[(azidocarbonyl)amino]benzoate
The title compound, C12H14N4O3, is planar with an r.m.s deviation of 0.025 Å from the plane through all 19 non-hydrogen atoms. An intramolecular N—H...O interaction closes an S(6) ring.

High‐Throughput Microfluidic‐Mediated Assembly of Layer‐By‐Layer Nanoparticles
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of polymer films on nanoparticle (NP) surfaces is a promising technique for targeted drug delivery. Despite its success in preclinical mouse models, a current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) compliant, clinical‐scale production method has been lacking.

Pentagonal Monolayer Crystals of Carbon, Boron Nitride, and Silver Azide [PDF]
In this study we present a theoretical investigation of structural, electronic and mechanical properties of pentagonal monolayers of carbon (p-graphene), boron nitride (p-B$_{2}$N$_{4}$ and p-B$_{4}$N$_{2}$) and silver azide (p-AgN$_{3}$) by performing state-of-the-art first principles calculations.

ZrCl4-catalyzed C-O bond to C-N bond formation: synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles and their biological evaluation [PDF]
A simple and efficient protocol was developed for the synthesis of aryl azides directly from aryl carbinols using ZrCl4as a Lewis acid catalyst. The azides were converted to novel triazoles under click reaction conditions, which were evaluated for their ...

DNA-coated Functional Oil Droplets [PDF]
Many industrial soft materials often include oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions at the core of their formulations. By using tuneable interface stabilizing agents, such emulsions can self-assemble into complex structures. DNA has been used for decades as a thermoresponsive highly specific binding agent between hard and, recently, soft colloids.
