RNA polymerase from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens
Highly purified DNA-dependent RNA polymerase has been obtained from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens cells. By electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gels in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate three different bands, named β′τ, and α (molecular weight 150 000, 54 000 and 42 000, respectively) were obtained.

Detoxification of Aflatoxin B1 by a Potential Probiotic Bacillus amyloliquefaciens WF2020
Microbial degradation is considered as an attractive method to eliminate exposure to aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), the most toxic mycotoxin that causes great economic losses and brings a serious threat to human and animal health, in food and feed.

Bacillus velezensis is a later heterotypic synonym of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens [PDF]
Strain BCRC 14193, isolated from soil, shared more than 99 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens BCRC 11601(T) and Bacillus velezensis BCRC 17467(T). This strain was previously identified as B. amyloliquefaciens, based on DNA-DNA hybridization, but its DNA relatedness value with B. velezensis BCRC 17467(T) was 89 %.

Fe Nanoparticles Enhanced Surfactin Production in Bacillus amyloliquefaciens [PDF]
Surfactin, as one of the most powerful biosurfactants, can be widely applied in agriculture, food, and pharmaceutics. However, low biosynthesis efficiency is the major obstacle in its commercialization. Here, we used nanoparticles to increase the surfactin production in Bacillus amyloliquefaciens MT45 through enhancing the secretion (the key step of ...
