Adaptive backstepping with a high-order tuner
Adaptive backstepping and high-order tuners were proposed and investigated actively by several researchers in the 1990s, and they are undoubtedly important results in the history of adaptive control. This work combines those two methodologies to construct adaptive nonlinear control systems.

COMPARISON OF AN X4-AUV PERFORMANCE USING A BACKSTEPPING AND INTEGRAL BACKSTEPPING APPROACH
X4-AUV is a type of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) which has 4 inputs with six degrees of freedoms (6-DOFs) in motion and is classified under an underactuated system. Controlling an underactuated system is difficult tasks because of the highly nonlinear dynamic, uncertainties in hydrodynamics behaviour and mostly those systems fails to satisfy ...

Mittag-Leffler stabilization of fractional-order nonlinear systems with unknown control coefficients
In this paper, we consider the problem of Mittag-Leffler stabilization of fractional-order nonlinear systems with unknown control coefficients. With the help of backstepping design method, the stabilizing functions and tuning functions are constructed ...

Accessibility percolation with backsteps
Consider a graph in which each site is endowed with a value called \emph{fitness}. A path in the graph is said to be "open" or "accessible" if the fitness values along that path is strictly increasing. We say that there is accessibility percolation between two sites when such a path between them exists.

Nonlinear Stochastic Adaptive Control of PEMFC Temperature Management System
To address the problem of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) temperature management under stochastic disturbances, this paper integrates a PEMFC thermal model with a water pump model and establishes a nonlinear stochastic model for ...
