New potential susceptibility factors contributing to tomato bacterial spot disease

The label-free shotgun proteomics analysis carried out in this study aimed to understand the molecular mechanisms that contribute towards tomato susceptibility to Xanthomonas euvesicatoria pv. perforans (Xep). To achieve this, comparative proteomics was performed on susceptible inoculated plants with the bacterium and the control group (saline solution)

Abstract Pseudomonas andropogonis (Smith 1911) Stapp 1928 (syn. Ps. woodsii (Smith 1911) Stevens 1925) was identified as the cause of a leaf spot disease of nursery-grown carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.). This is the first record of bacterial leaf spot of carnation in New Zealand.

Bacterial Tan Spot, A New Foliar Disease of Soybeans1

A new soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] disease that causes large tan necrotic spots on soybean leaves was first observed in Iowa in 1975. Necrotic areas usually fell to the ground during high winds, giving a ragged appearance to leaves. The disease was confined to leaves and was never observed on stems or pods; wilting did not occur.
