Electrophysiological sexual dimorphism as an early risk marker of alcohol use in adolescence: A longitudinal neuroimaging study

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 121, Issue 3, Page 606-616, March 2026.
Abstract Aims To identify the brain activity profiles associated with alcohol consumption and to address its causes. Furthermore, we sought to examine the relationship between these electrophysiological markers and the excitation–inhibition balance, as well as to explore the potential moderating role of sex in these associations.

Height, weight, and body mass index trajectories and their correlation with functional outcome assessments in boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, Volume 68, Issue 3, Page 429-440, March 2026.
The analysis of height, weight, and BMI z‐score trajectories in boys with DMD from the FOR‐DMD study showed that higher baseline height was associated with slower subsequent growth, and older age with greater weight gain after glucocorticoid initiation.

Benefit Transfer: Choice Experiment Results [PDF]

open access: yes
Benefit transfer entails using estimates of non-market values derived at one site as approximations to benefits at other sites. The method finds favour because it can be applied quickly and cheaply, however the validity of benefit transfer is frequently ...

Temporal dynamics of white matter hyperintensities related to Alzheimer's disease in adults with Down syndrome

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are common in Down syndrome (DS), yet their longitudinal evolution and associations with Alzheimer's disease (AD) remain unclear. METHODS Longitudinal MRI study, including 80 DS adults and 53 euploid controls. WMH were segmented on serial FLAIR using a longitudinal pipeline.

CD56bright NK cells are negatively associated with antibody response to vaccination in people with multiple sclerosis on B‐cell‐depleting therapy

open access: yesClinical &Translational Immunology, Volume 15, Issue 2, 2026.
Antibody response to vaccination in people with multiple sclerosis receiving B‐cell depletion therapy is associated with B‐cell frequency but not time since B‐cell depletion. Immunoregulatory CD56bright NK cells may negatively impact antibody responses in this group.

Uncovering the Key Factors Influencing Phytochemical and Phytopharmacological Properties During Medicinal Plant Processing

open access: yeseFood, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
From farm to pharma, this review details the engineering of quality in medicinal plants through a science‐driven approach: it first elucidates how genetic and environmental factors inscribe the plant's phytochemical and phytopharmacological profile before harvest, and then dissects the postharvest techniques and technologies—chemical and thermal pre ...
