Applications of basophil activation test in paediatric allergic diseases
Basophilic granulocytes, containing and releasing histamine after a specific allergy stimulation, are directly involved in IgE-mediated allergic reactions.

Management of chronic urticaria: Current status and future prospect
Chronic urticaria is driven by mast cell activation through autoimmune, inflammatory, and neuroimmune pathways. A structured approach combining diagnosis, patient‐reported outcomes, stepwise therapy, treatment optimization, monitoring and emerging targeted agents may improve disease control and enable more personalized management.

Oviposition and care decrease the total haemocyte concentration. Oviposition and care affect haemocyte type proportions. Serratia marcescens challenge does not affect the immune cell parameters. Abstract Reproduction and immunity are essential biological processes that compete for resources and energy.

T2-HIGH AND T2-LOW SEVERE ASTHMA: ROLE OF BASOPHIL ACTIVATION TEST (BAT) [PDF]
Allergic disorders are one of the most common chronic diseases worldwide. Skin prick test and the measurement of immunoglobulin (Ig)E antibody are routinely used for the diagnosis of allergic disorders. However, skin prick test and serum IgE detect only sensitization but do not prove the clinical manifestations of allergic disease.

Sesame Immunotherapy: A Systematic Review and Narrative Synthesis
ABSTRACT Sesame allergy is associated with severe allergic reactions, low rates of spontaneous resolution, and significant psychosocial burden. Current management relies on strict avoidance and emergency treatment. Allergen‐specific immunotherapy, particularly oral immunotherapy (OIT), has emerged as a potential disease‐modifying approach, but evidence

Dendrimeric Antigens for Drug Allergy Diagnosis: A New Approach for Basophil Activation Tests
Dendrimeric Antigens (DeAns) consist of dendrimers decorated with multiple units of drug antigenic determinants. These conjugates have been shown to be a powerful tool for diagnosing penicillin allergy using in vitro immunoassays, in which they are ...

ABSTRACT Bioassays offer functional readouts of immune responses through specific biomarkers, providing mechanistic insight beyond conventional serology. By capturing cellular activation, tissue‐level changes, and molecular signaling, they hold promise for refining allergy diagnosis, risk stratification, and treatment monitoring, contributing to ...
