Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Effect of ascorbic acid on reduced glutathione level in arsenic-loaded isolated liver tissues of rat
Isolated liver tissues of rat were loaded with trivalent arsenic and were exposed in presence and absence of ascorbic acid. The amount of reduced glutathione (GSH) in normal liver tissue was 52.0 0.2 g/g protein.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

On the mathematics of beauty: beautiful images
In this paper, we will study the simplest kind of beauty which can be found in simple visual patterns. The proposed approach shows that aesthetically appealing patterns deliver higher amount of information over multiple levels in comparison with less aesthetically appealing patterns when the same amount of energy is used.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

The beauty of simplicity [PDF]
As an admirer of the “artistic flare, nuanced style, and technical prowess that separates good code from great code” explored by Robert Green and Henry Ledgard [1], I was disappointed by the authors’ emphasis on “alignment, naming, use of white space, use of context, syntax highlighting, and IDE choice.” As effective as these aspects of beautiful code ...

Suppressed B_s Decays at CDF [PDF]
We review three recent results of the CDF collaboration on B{sub s}{sup 0} suppressed decays: the first search for CP-violation in the B{sub s}{sup 0} {yields} {phi}{phi} decay, where two CP-violating asymmetries expected to be zero in the Standard Model
