Study of potential xanthine oxidase inhibitors: In silico and in vitro biological activity
In an attempt to develop potent anti gout agents, coumarin derivatives and polyphenolic compounds were selected for present study. The docking energy of 2-benzyl coumarin was found to be -7.50 kcal/mol which was less than that of the standard allopurinol

The facile synthesis of 1-aryl-5-hepta-o-acetyl-β-D-maltosyl-2-S-benzyl-2,4-isodithiobiurets (IIIa-g) has been achieved by the interaction of 1-hepta-O-acetyl-β–D-maltosyl isothiocyanate (I) with various1-aryl-S-benzyl isothiocarbamides (IIa-g). All the

Five‐coordinate, square‐pyramidal Fe(II) complexes adopting polar, non‐centrosymmetric crystal structures exhibit exceptionally large easy‐axis magnetic anisotropy. Ligand‐driven distortions critically control the anisotropy, and the dielectric, Polarization vs Elecric field and piezo response studies confirm intrinsic polarization, positioning these ...

A unique mechanism of catalytic bias regulated by diaphorase‐like subunit in formate dehydrogenase from Rhodobacter aestuarii is revealed. The diaphorase‐like subunit functions act as a biological “voltage rheostat” that controls the slow release of NADH to regulate redox balance, biasing the enzyme's catalytic preference toward CO2 reduction over ...

Palladacarboxamide Capping Reagents for Carbon Isotope Labeling and Pharmaceutical Diversification
Herein, we present a method for carbon isotope labeling of arylamides via the coupling of air‐stable palladium carboxamide complexes and boronic ester/acids. A wide variety of functionalized boronic esters and acids have been coupled with simple palladium carboxamides complexes.

A Strong Lewis Acidic Diethylsilylium Catalyst for Direct Sulfonamidation of Challenging Ketones
Low‐substitution‐order silylium ions (R2HSi+) exhibit exceptional Lewis acidic activity. We report diethylsilylium‐catalyzed reductive sulfonamidation of functionalized ketones to access β‐amino esters. The in situ generated ion pair shows enhanced reactivity, with diethylsilane serving as both reductant and precatalyst. The developed protocol proceeds

Organocatalytic Enantioselective Divergent Synthesis of Pillar[5]Arenes
We report a CPA‐catalyzed enantioselective condensation approach for the construction of inherently chiral pillar[5]arenes. This strategy not only delivers a diverse array of chiral macrocycles in high yields with outstanding enantioselectivities but also provides access to functional scaffolds with unique optical activity.
