Profiling the Complexity of Resistance Factors in Cancer Cells Towards Berberine and Its Derivatives
Background: Berberine, a benzylisoquinoline alkaloid, has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. We examined the resistance mechanisms to berberine in a panel of different cancer cells and focused on understanding its molecular ...

ERM Inhibition Confers Ferroptosis Resistance through ROS‐Induced NRF2 Signaling
ERM inhibition disrupts ERM‐actin interactions, elevating ROS and triggering KEAP1 degradation, which stabilizes and activates NRF2. Nuclear NRF2 induces cytoprotective genes, notably HMOX1, enhancing redox buffering and suppressing lipid peroxidation to resist erastin‐induced ferroptosis.

A femtosecond UV pump–probe microscope resolves binding‐induced changes in protein excited‐state dynamics and converts these intrinsic contrasts into an equilibrium affinity readout. By probing tryptophan responses directly in solution, the approach enables quantitative determination of dissociation constants without labeling or immobilization ...

This study introduces a tree‐based machine learning approach to accelerate USP8 inhibitor discovery. The best‐performing model identified 100 high‐confidence repurposable compounds, half already approved or in clinical trials, and uncovered novel scaffolds not previously studied. These findings offer a solid foundation for rapid experimental follow‐up,

Pharmacokinetic incompatibility of the Huanglian-Gancao herb pair
Background Pharmacokinetic interaction is one of the most important indices for the evaluation of the compatibility of herbal medicines. Both Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) and Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) are commonly used traditional Chinese ...
