Effect of spread amphiphilic beta-cyclodextrins on interfacial properties of the oil/water system
The goal of this work was to characterise the interfacial behaviour of amphiphilic beta-cyclodextrins modified at the primary face. It was considered that the oil/water system with spread modified cyclodextrins at the interface adequately mimics the ...

Oligopeptides/DNA Coacervate Droplets as Macromolecular Delivery Microcarriers
Oligopeptide–DNA coacervates formed via liquid–liquid phase separation serve as programmable carriers for macromolecular cargos, entering cells through lipid raft–associated pathways and subsequently undergoing enzyme triggered intracellular disassembly driven by DNA degradation processes, thereby enabling efficient, controlled, and spatially defined ...

Cyclo‐Polyproline: Chameleonic All‐Peptide Macrocycles With Induced‐Fit Host‐Guest Recognition
Macrocycles served as the genesis of supramolecular chemistry, advancing synthetic, separation, and materials fields. Despite their utility, they typically lack synthetic control. This work establishes a robust platform for all‐peptide macrocycles capable of host‐guest complexation and chameleonic behavior.

This work presents a new look at the application of cyclodextrins (CD) as a drug nanocarrier. Two different cyclodextrins (αCD, βCD) were covalently conjugated to branched polyethylenimine (PEI), which was additionally functionalized with ...

Full androgen deprivation (FAD) induces paracrine cholesterol in prostate cancer that drives the polarization of cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and subsequent elevated matrix stiffness. Matrix stiffness in turn potentiates tumor cell survival under FAD pressure via dual mechanotransductive activation of the IRE1α‐XBP1s stress‐response axis ...

Monovalent N‐acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc)‐modified polyrotaxane enables efficient liver targeting by utilizing ligand mobility. The sliding and rotating cyclic components i.e., cyclodextrin in the polyrotaxane dynamically cluster GalNAc moieties, thereby mimicking trivalent interactions with asialoglycoprotein receptors.

Inactivation of Zika Virus with Hydroxypropyl-Beta-Cyclodextrin
Background/Objectives: Zika virus (ZIKV) infection is associated with life-threatening diseases in humans. To date, there are no available FDA-approved therapies or vaccines for the specific treatment or prevention of ZIKV infection. Variation in the ZIKV envelope protein (Env), along with its complex quaternary structure, presents challenges to ...

On the Structure of Beta-Cyclodextrin Polymer Adducts
Abstract Beta-cyclodextrin/poly(vinylidene chloride) adduct (beta-CD-PVDC), after dehydrochlorination, and beta-CD/vinylidene chloride-allyl chloride copolymer result in unit cell crystals in which the beta-CD excluded volume (1410, 1440 A3) falls in with the lowest values of that in low molecular adducts (1410-1770 A3).
