Leaf transcriptome differences between diploid and tetraploid bahiagrass
Abstract Polyploid individuals of the subtropical forage grass Paspalum notatum Flüggé (bahiagrass) exhibit distinct phenotypes, including apomixis, enhanced vigor, gigas effects, and increased stress tolerance. While apomixis‐based breeding programs supported by molecular tools have improved agronomic traits such as growth habit, forage dry matter ...

Abstract Climate change is intensifying the frequency and severity of abiotic stresses that threaten global food security by reducing crop productivity. Among these, saline stress poses a serious threat to barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) production. These conditions are increasingly prevalent in arid and semiarid regions, as well as in regions with limited

Maternal TCF12 ensures the competence of fertilisation by controlling the expression of Astl and the proper location of cortical granules. Furthermore, maternal TCF12 maintains the phosphatase activity of PP2A by regulating the expression of Arpp19. Oocyte‐specific deletion of Tcf12 leads to fertilisation defects as well as ZGA failure at the 2‐cell ...

In this study, we used Foxp3‐fatemapping mice to examine the cell lineage stability of Treg cells in pregnancy. Ex‐Foxp3 cells were identified in gestational tissues. However, Treg cells retained lineage stability with no increased ex‐Foxp3 generation, regardless of inflammatory challenges that induce preterm birth.

During strawberry ripening, abscisic acid signaling activates SnRK2.6, which phosphorylates and degrades the JAZ12 repressor. This releases the MYC2 transcription factor, directly activating jasmonic acid biosynthesis genes. The resulting jasmonic acid accumulation drives aroma production, thereby coupling ripening with scent formation through this ...

Cre‐driver mouse lines are widely used for targeted gene manipulation, yet their baseline phenotypes are often assumed to be neutral. Here, we reveal hidden behavioral and synaptic alterations in the commonly used NEX‐Cre line, including changes in locomotion, anxiety‐like behavior, reward‐related behavior, and region‐specific dendritic spine density ...

SJP1 and SJP2, two effectors secreted by JWB phytoplasmas, inhibit jujube leaf cell proliferation through manipulating a cascade involving ZjTCP2 and ZjTCP1, two TCP transcription factors from distinct subfamilies. ABSTRACT Leaf development into the final size is spatiotemporally regulated by cell proliferation and expansion. The jujube witches' broom (
