Bacterial bioluminescence is an important regulator of multitrophic interactions in the soil
Summary: Enormous efforts have been made to understand the functions of bioluminescence; however, its relevance in soil ecosystems has barely been investigated.

IL‐15‐engineered stem cell–NK cell complexes, assembled via bioorthogonal chemistry, enable effective lung cancer immunotherapy. Abstract Natural killer (NK) cells represent a powerful immunotherapeutic strategy due to their intrinsic cytotoxicity and ability to target tumor cells independently of antigen presentation.

Background light measurements at the DUMAND site [PDF]
Ambient light intensities at the DUMAND site, west of the island of Hawaii were measured around the one photoelectron level. Throughout the water column between 1,500m and 4,700m, a substantial amount of stimulateable bioluminescence is observed with a ...

Illustrating how tumor‐derived PLA2G16 regulates tetracosatetraenoic acid (C24:4 (n‐6)) accumulation and CD8+ T cell activation via the C24:4‐PPARα‐FAO axis in early metastatic niches, thereby promoting lung metastasis of triple‐negative breast cancer.

Sustained delivery and molecular targeting of a therapeutic monoclonal antibody to metastases in the central nervous system of mice. [PDF]
Approximately 15-40% of all cancers develop metastases in the central nervous system (CNS), yet few therapeutic options exist to treat them. Cancer therapies based on monoclonal antibodies are widely successful, yet have limited efficacy against CNS ...

This study finds that CD8⁺ TSCM cells exhibit superior self‐renewal, differentiation, and antiviral activity. Transcriptome and epigenome analyses highlight MAPK cascade regulation in TSCM cells. In vivo, virus‐specific TSCM cells show enhanced persistence and tumor protection.

Understanding Bioluminescence in Dinoflagellates—How Far Have We Come?
Some dinoflagellates possess the remarkable genetic, biochemical, and cellular machinery to produce bioluminescence. Bioluminescent species appear to be ubiquitous in surface waters globally and include numerous cosmopolitan and harmful taxa ...

In Yoo and Mainkar et al., we present a minimally invasive, CM‐selective modRNA delivery system encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles for intravenous (IV) administration. This platform enables selective cardiac translation of therapeutic modRNA but suppresses expression in off‐target tissues, including tumors.
