Natural Killer Cell‐Derived Extracellular Vesicle Preparations Demonstrate Potent Antitumor Activity Against Human Glioblastoma In Vitro and In Vivo

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 10, October 2026.
Schematic overview of NK‐EV isolation strategies from expanded primary human NK cells. Primary human NK cells were isolated from PBMCs and expanded using K562 feeder cells. EV‐containing preparations were then isolated from expanded NK‐cell cultures using two approaches. First, total exosome isolation reagent was used as a precipitation‐based method to

Advancing In Vivo Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Engineering to Accelerate Clinical Translation

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
In vivo CAR‐T cell generation directly engineers endogenous T cells using pre‐manufactured gene delivery vectors that target T cells and deliver CAR‐encoding genetic material. The resulting CAR‐T cells expand in vivo and mediate antigen‐specific cytotoxicity.

Biological and Chemical Investigation of Rhizome Metabolites of Astilbe rivularis Buch. Ham., an Ethnomedicinally Important Plant of the Sikkim Himalayas With Reference to Oxidative Stress and Diabetes

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 11, Issue 39, 20 October 2026.
Rhizomes of Astilbe rivularis yielded bergenin and the diastereomeric O‐glycosides phyllantenocoside and phyllanthurinolactone. The aglycones, phyllantenolide, and menisdaurilide were also obtained. Menisdaurilide showed the strongest antioxidant and antidiabetic activities through HOCl scavenging, myeloperoxidase inhibition, and α‐amylase/α ...

Relay Architectures and Ecological Strategies of Quorum Sensing Effects on Microbial Interactions

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology, Volume 28, Issue 10, October 2026.
Quorum‐sensing activity in one population affects neighbouring populations through direct signal perception, QS‐regulated chemical effectors, or host‐ or environment‐mediated relays. Across distinct habitats, these relay architectures are associated with ecological strategies ranging from shared signal accessibility and reciprocal responsiveness to ...

Resource Recovery From Food Processing Wastewater Through Microalgae‐Driven Carbon Chain Rearrangement

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 18, Issue 10, October 2026.
Carbon chain rearrangement reframes food‐processing wastewater treatment from COD removal to controlled carbon recovery. By coupling microalgal biosynthesis with bacterial substrate transformation, algal–bacterial consortia can redirect heterogeneous wastewater carbon toward recoverable biomolecules.
