Urinary BLCA-4 level is useful to detect upper urinary tract urothelial cell carcinoma
Actas Urológicas Españolas (English Edition), 2012Upper urinary tract urothelial cell carcinomas (UUT-UCCs) are rare but usually invasive at diagnosis. Early diagnosis of UUT-UCCs is thus warranted. UUT has the same embryological origin with bladder and BLCA-4 is a highly sensitive and specific marker for bladder cancer.

Monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) are used for targeting agents to tumours while minimizing normal tissue exposure.A new anti-prostate cancer MAb, BLCA-38, was radioiodinated (I125) and assessed for its ability to target subcutaneous human prostate cancer (DU-145) xenografts after systemic intraperitoneal administration.

Detection of bladder cancer using a novel nuclear matrix protein, BLCA-4.
Clinical cancer research : an official journal of the American Association for Cancer Research, 2000We have identified previously six nuclear matrix proteins (NMPs) that are bladder cancer specific. In this study, we analyzed the expression of one of these proteins, BLCA-4, in bladder tumors and normal bladder tissue. We also examined the appearance of BLCA-4 in the urine as a biomarker for bladder cancer.

The Prognostic Hub Gene POLE2 Promotes BLCA Cell Growth via the PI3K/AKT Signaling Pathway
Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput ScreeningBackground::BLCA is a common urothelial malignancy characterized by a high recurrence rate. Despite its prevalence, the molecular mechanisms underlying its development remain unclear.Aims::This study aimed to explore new prognostic biomarkers and investigate the underlying mechanism of bladder cancer (BLCA).Objective::The objective of this study is to ...

BLCA-4 and UBC combined detection for early diagnosis of bladder cancer.
Journal of biological regulators and homeostatic agents, 2016The objective of the present study was to report the clinical significance of bladder cancer specific nuclear matrix protein 4 (BLCA-4) and urinary bladder cancer (UBC) on early diagnosis of bladder cancers. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect BLCA-4 and UBC of 56 bladder cancer patients and 26 patients with urinary tract ...
