Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Non-blocking timeout in scalable queue-based spin locks

open access: yesProceedings of the twenty-first annual symposium on Principles of distributed computing, 2002
Queue-based spin locks allow programs with busy-wait synchronization to scale to very large multiprocessors, without fear of starvation or performance-destroying contention. Timeout-capable spin locks allow a thread to abandon its attempt to acquire a lock; they are used widely in real-time systems to avoid overshooting a deadline, and in database ...

The End-lock Rule for Exact Extraction of Odd Roots

open access: yes
A familiar cube-root puzzle recovers a two-digit root from the leading three-digit block and the final digit of a perfect cube. We place that observation in a general framework.

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.
