Ewing's Sarcoma in Adults: A Predictive Nomogram and Survival Analysis of a Cohort of 937 Patients
ABSTRACT Background Ewing sarcoma is a rare malignancy of bone and soft tissue that most commonly affects children, adolescents, and young adults. Although multimodal treatment has improved survival in localised disease, outcomes remain poorer in adults, particularly in those with metastatic disease, larger tumours, or anatomically complex primary ...

An Analysis of CT‐Guided Percutaneous Core Needle Biopsy of Tibial Lesions: How Successful Are We?
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Core needle biopsy (CNB) is commonly used to diagnose bone tumors, but characteristics of tibial lesions may affect its diagnostic performance. We evaluated the diagnostic performance of CT‐guided CNB for tibial lesions, factors associated with diagnostic success, and outcomes of nondiagnostic biopsies.

KAT8‐Low Osteosarcoma Suppresses Cisplatin Sensitivity via H4K16ac‐Mediated Cell Apoptosis
The scientific significance of this study is highlighted below: (1) Data mining and clinical discovery: These findings establish a direct clinical link between the KAT8–H4K16ac axis and chemotherapy response in osteosarcoma. (2) Multi‐omics and machine‐learning integration: We integrated proteomics and CUT&Tag multi‐omics to elucidate how chromatin ...

Bone marrow niches in the regulation of bone metastasis
British Journal of Cancer, 2021The bone marrow has been widely recognised to host a unique microenvironment that facilitates tumour colonisation. Bone metastasis frequently occurs in the late stages of malignant diseases such as breast, prostate and lung cancers. The biology of bone metastasis is determined by tumour-cell-intrinsic traits as well as their interaction with the ...

Bone marrow metastasis in astrocytic gliomata
Journal of Neuro-Oncology, 1998With the increasing survival time of many pediatric patients with malignancies, unexpected symptoms or signs require diligent search for rare complications or second cancers related to the disease or treatment. We recently encountered a patient with extensive glioblastoma multiforme who developed pancytopenia six months after completion of treatment ...

Bone marrow metastasis of angiosarcoma
Pathology Research and Practice, 2004We report a rare finding of bone marrow metastasis from an angiosarcoma. The patient was a 36-year-old man who initially presented with a high-grade angiosarcoma of the spleen and was treated with splenectomy and chemotherapy. He developed leukoerythroblastic anemia three years after splenectomy.

Metastasis in the Bone Marrow Microenvironment
2004Although metastatic growth of non-skeletal cancer in bone as an organ is commonly referred to as bone metastasis, any metastasis to bone is in fact a metastasis to the bone marrow. The extensive changes induced by cancer metastasis in bone (either lytic, or more rarely, sclerotic) represent secondary changes induced to fulfill the need of cancer cells ...
