A series of thirteen (N‐heterocyclic carbene) NHC‐stabilized borenium cations is synthesized from NHC→BH3 complexes via hydroboration and condensation with diols. The novel compounds are fully characterized. Eight crystal structures are presented. Kinetic and NMR data show how the structural features translate to catalytic activity in hydrosilylation ...

Cationic Sulfonium‐Based Tripodal Ligand and Its Rh(I) Complexes
We report a cationic EP3‐type tripodal ligand based on an aromatic sulfonium cation (E = S+) along with a series of its Rh(I) complexes. Structural, spectroscopic, electrochemical, and computational analyses of these complexes compared to isostructural analogs (E = Si− or P) reveal pronounced electron density depletion at Rh in the sulfonium congener ...

Hollow metallic nickel nanospheres have been controllably synthesized via a solvothermal reduction process. The complexation between ethylenediamine and Ni2+ might be the key factor to control the formation of the hollow structure through the reduction ...

A 9,10‐dihydro‐9,10‐disilaanthracene platform was efficiently synthesized and features intrinsically electrophilic Si sites. Upon stepwise reductive Si─H bond cleavage, these Si sites are converted into nucleophilic centers. This controlled polarity switching also enables ambiphilic reactivity within a homo‐heteroelement framework.

Asymmetric Diphosphane Dioxides With A–π–A–π’–D Scaffolds for High‐Purity Deep‐Blue Luminescence
Diphosphane dioxide‐based luminophores with donor–π–acceptor– π’–acceptor scaffold enable efficient deep‐blue emission from tunable charge‐transfer states affording high photoluminescence up to 95%. OLEDs reach EQE 4.9%, aided by triplet–triplet annihilation, highlighting a practical route to high‐performance blue emitters.

Catalyst‐Free Selective Reduction of Nitrogen Dioxide to Nitric Oxide
Common main group reductants selectively convert nitrogen dioxide to nitric oxide in a catalyst‐free manner. Computational studies suggest divergent reaction pathways depending on the reductant employed. Where boranes and silanes proceed via a two‐electron process, and hydrogen surrogates undergo stepwise one‐electron processes.

Synthesis of Mixed Sequence Borane Phosphonate DNA
A novel solid-phase phosphoramidite-based method has been developed for the synthesis of borane phosphonate DNA. Keys to this new approach are replacement of the common 5‘-dimethoxytrityl blocking group with a 5‘-silyl ether and the use of new protecting
