Characterization of the T cell receptor repertoire causing collagen arthritis in mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Collagen type II-induced arthritis (CIA) is generated in susceptible rodent strains by intradermal injections of homologous or heterologous native type II collagen in complete Freund's adjuvant.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Fast genomic prediction of breeding values using parallel Markov chain Monte Carlo with convergence diagnosis

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2018
Background Running multiple-chain Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) provides an efficient parallel computing method for complex Bayesian models, although the efficiency of the approach critically depends on the length of the non-parallelizable burn-in ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Evaluation of genomic mating approach based on genetic algorithms for long-term selection in Huaxi cattle

open access: yesBMC Genomics
Background Genomic mating (GM) can effectively control the growth rate of inbreeding in population and achieve long-term sustainable genetic progress. However, the design of GM method and assessment of its effects during long-term selection have not been

The purification and characterisation of novel dipeptidyl peptidase IV-like activity from bovine serum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The discovery of a potentially novel proline-specific peptidase from bovine serum is presented which is capable of cleaving the dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPIV) substrate Gly-Pro-MCA.

Dexamethasone bovine pharmacokinetics [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, 1991
Dexamethasone phosphate (DXM-PHO) is an ester which is quickly hydrolysed by the bovine and the dexamethasone (DXM) plasma half-life was 5.16 h. It has been demonstrated that 54 h after DXM-PHO injection, DXM concentrations were lower than 0.1 mg/ml.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Hereditary Bovine Syndactyly: Diagnosis in Bovine Fetuses [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Pathology, 1987
Diagnostic guidelines were established for progeny testing of hereditary bovine syndactyly. Through the use of superovulation and embryo transfer, 139 fetuses were recovered at 50 to 77 days gestation. Normal (+/+, +/sy) and syndactylous (sy/sy) anatomy of Holstein fetuses was denned, and the accuracy of macroscopic versus microscopic limb diagnosis ...
