Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Exploring brain functional plasticity in world class gymnasts: a network analysis
Long-term motor skill learning can induce plastic structural and functional reorganization of the brain. Our previous studies detected brain structural plasticity related to long-term intensive gymnastic training in world class gymnasts (WCGs).

From tumor‐centric to ecosystem‐based hypotheses in brain tumor research and care
Primary brain tumors, whether in adults or children, present a major challenge because of their dramatic prognosis and the ongoing lack of efficient therapeutic approaches. In recent years, a shift has occurred from tumor‐centric concepts to a more holistic view of these tumors as dynamic ecosystems.

Music and the brain: disorders of musical listening
The study of the brain bases for normal musical listening has advanced greatly in the last 30 years. The evidence from basic and clinical neuroscience suggests that listening to music involves many cognitive components with distinct brain substrates ...

The plasticity of near space: evidence for contraction [PDF]
The distinction between near space and the space farther away has been well established, as has the relation of this distinction to arm length. Recent studies provide evidence for the plasticity of near space, showing that it is possible to expand its ...
