Syntheses of pentafluoroethyl substituted plumbanes in the formal oxidation states +II, +III, and +IV are reported. The compounds were characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, including 207Pb NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and single‐crystal x‐ray diffraction experiments. Synthesis and Structures of Novel Chiral Cyclic Hypervalent Iodine(III) Reagents for Metal‐Free Ligand‐Transfer Reactions

Several new chiral cyclic hypervalent iodine(III) reagents have been synthesized and characterized. Carbon‐based ligands were successfully installed onto the hypervalent iodine centers, giving thus access to novel chiral cyano‐, trifluoromethyl‐ or alkynyl‐bearing λ3‐iodanes.

Benzo[c][1,2,5]Thiadiazole Linkers Enhance the Effectiveness of Cavity‐Containing Supramolecular Photocatalysts

Seven novel supramolecular photosensitizers based on benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole (BTZ) tethered to calix[4]arene (C[4]) scaffolds are reported with facile, scalable, and selective syntheses. Their abilities to produce singlet oxygen have been tested through the photo‐oxidation of α‐terpinene.

Carba‐closo‐dodecaborates as Superchaotropic Anions

The singly charged boron cluster anion CB11H12– forms strong inclusion complexes with cyclodextrins, interacts strongly with nonionic polymers, and serves as an effective transmembrane carrier, positioning itself as the smallest superchaotropic anion known to date. .
