ABSTRACT Background Non‐typeable Streptococcus pneumoniae (NT‐Sp) strains lack detectable capsules and are often missed by traditional serotyping. While associated primarily with asymptomatic carriage, NT‐Sp has emerged as a key player in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) gene dissemination and serotype replacement in the post‐vaccine era. This systematic

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a significant pathogen associated with hospital‐acquired infections, with its global prevalence, including in Indonesia, steadily increasing. However, comprehensive data on MRSA prevalence and antimicrobial susceptibility within Indonesian hospital settings remain ...

Abstract BACKGROUND Hospital premises generate wastewater containing a wide spectrum of contaminants, such as pharmaceutically active compounds (PhACs), antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and pathogenic microorganisms, whilst plenty of them are classified under the antibiotic resistant bacteria (ΑRΒ) category.

Phenolic composition and multi‐target bioactivities of Globularia alypum extracts across seasons
Abstract Background This study investigates the influence of seasonal variation on the phytochemical profile and biofunctional activities of ethanolic leaf extracts from Globularia alypum. Leaves collected across four seasons were extracted with a hydroethanolic solvent (80:20, v/v) and analyzed by LC‐ESI‐MS/MS.

This study explores new antifungal strategies to combat non‐albicans Candida species. We tested clinically approved HDAC inhibitors—Vorinostat, Romidepsin, Tucidinostat—and the HDAC6/8‐selective MC1568, alone and with Fluconazole. The Fluconazole/MC1568 combination significantly enhanced antifungal activity and reduced biofilm formation.

Chlorhexidine gluconate and alexidine potently kill S. mutans, disrupt biofilms, and downregulate virulence genes, yet show moderate cytotoxicity. In contrast, sub‐MIC amoxicillin paradoxically promotes biofilm formation, highlighting the need for targeted antibiofilm therapies. ABSTRACT This study evaluates the antimicrobial and antibiofilm effects of
