Multi-orbital hybridization in a one-dimensional monolayer of DPh-BTBT

The 1-D DPh-BTBT monolayer was studied to explore intermolecular multi-orbital mixing. UPS showed significant broadening of HOMO and HOMO−1 levels. DFT calculations indicate that electrostatic effects shift on-site energies, enabling hybridization.
