Hesperidin, a well-known flavanone glycoside mostly found in citrus fruits, showed neuroprotective and antidepressant activity. Agomelatine, a melatonergic MT1/MT2 agonist and 5-HT2C receptor antagonist, exhibits good antidepressant efficacy.
