Anti-c-myc efficacy block EGFL7 induced prolactinoma tumorigenesis
Resistance to Dopamine agonists therapy is still a key factor that hinders the clinical treatment of prolactinoma. Consequently, a large number of investigations have been carried out to identify novel therapeutic targets.

Yeast Gcn2 retains activity following humanization of its auto‐phosphorylation region
Using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model to study Gcn2 activation and regulation is limited by the lack of antibodies detecting phosphorylated Gcn2. To overcome this, we engineered Gcn2‐HsC, a yeast Gcn2 variant recognizable by commercial anti‐human phospho‐GCN2 antibodies.

The role of c-Myc-RBM38 loop in the growth suppression in breast cancer
Background RNA-binding protein 38 (RBM38) is a member of the RNA recognition motif (RRM) family of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs). RBM38 often exerts its function by forming regulatory loops with relevant genes.

Short term effects of c-MYC activation on β-cell physiology and glucose homeostasis in the pIns-c-MycERTAM transgenic mouse [PDF]
Injection of 4-hydroxytamoxifen (4-OHT) activates the oncogene c-myc in transgenic pIns-c-MycERTAM mice, triggering β-cell proliferation in the short term as well as apoptosis and reduced insulin secretion, leading to hyperglycaemia.

c-MYC empowers transcription and productive splicing of the oncogenic splicing factor Sam68 in cancer [PDF]
The splicing factor Sam68 is upregulated in many human cancers, including prostate cancer (PCa) where it promotes cell proliferation and survival. Nevertheless, in spite of its frequent upregulation in cancer, the mechanism(s) underlying its expression ...

Malformin A1–mediated cytotoxicity in ovarian cancer cells occurs through pyroptosis and autophagy
This study investigated the effects of the natural compound Malformin A1 (MA1) on the cytoskeleton that regulates cell proliferation and migration. Disruption of the cytoskeleton can impair these processes and promote cancer cell death. MA1 disrupted cytoskeletal organization, induced DNA damage, inflammation, activated autophagy, and pyroptosis ...

Dual native G‐quadruplex folding is associated with chromatin looping at the MYC locus
BG4‐detectable G‐quadruplex (G4) in HaCaT and NHEK keratinocytes identified folded and unfolded G4s enriched at promoters/TSSs and active enhancers, whereas unfolded G4s also overlapped weak/poised enhancers. At MYC–PVT1, 3C‐qPCR detected enhancer–promoter looping only when G4s were simultaneously folded at both regulatory elements under native ...

C-myc and immunoglobulin kappa light chain constant genes are on the 8q+ chromosome of three Burkitt lymphoma lines with t(2;8) translocations [PDF]
We have determined the localization of c-myc and the immunoglobulin kappa light chain genes on the 8q+/2p- chromosomes of the three Burkitt lymphoma lines BL21, LY66 and LY91 with t(2;8) translocation by in situ hybridization.
