State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Monocyte C1-Inhibitor Synthesis [PDF]
C1-inhibitor is the major control protein of the classical pathway of complement. In man, its hereditary deficiency results in the clinical condition of hereditary angio-oedema (HAE).

This review examines the critical role of neighboring active motifs in heterogeneous catalysts, emphasizing how their synergistic cooperativity can be rationally designed to modulate catalytic properties. The discussion centers on the modulation of electronic and geometric structures, categorizing the catalytic systems into metal‐acid (Brønsted/Lewis ...

A CASE OF ANGIOEDEMA: C1 INHIBITOR DEFICIENCY
Angioedema is rapid swelling (oedema) of subcutaneous tissue involving dermis, mucosa and sub mucosal tissues. It may be IgE dependant, bradykinin mediated, complement mediated, non immunologic or idiopathic. It may be heriditory or acquired.
