Effect of Cell Generations on t-BHP-induced Oxidative Stress Model of Caco-2 Cells
Objective: To investigate the effects of cell passage number on the establishment of an oxidative stress model in human colon adenocarcinoma cells (Caco-2) caused by tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BHP).

Hepcidin attenuates zinc efflux in Caco‐2 cells [PDF]
Hepcidin, a peptide hormone produced by theliver in response to iron loading and inflammation, regulates body iron storesby inhibiting iron transporter function. Zinc also regulates hepcidinexpression; however, the effects of hepcidin on zinc transport and zinctransporter function have not been documented.

Coumarins permeability in Caco-2 cell model
AbstractObjectivesThe presence of coumarins in human diet, their multiple pharma***ćological properties and occurrence in various herbal remedies represent significant reasons to explore their membrane permeability, as a first event contributing to coumarins oral bioavailability.

The intestinal spirochete Brachyspira pilosicoli attaches to cultured Caco-2 cells and induces pathological changes. [PDF]
BACKGROUND:Brachyspira pilosicoli is an anaerobic spirochete that has received relatively little study, partly due to its specialized culture requirements and slow growth. This bacterium colonizes the large intestine of various species, including humans;

A metalloproteinase of the disintegrin and metalloproteinases and the ThromboSpondin Motifs 6 as a novel marker for colon cancer: functional experiments [PDF]
Herein, we aimed to investigate the functions of ADAMTS6 in colon cancer and its potential mechanism. Based on the data acquired from TCGA database, we revealed that ADAMTS6 was highly expressed in colon cancer tissues, and high expression of ADAMTS6 ...

Cell association and invasion of Caco-2 cells by Campylobacter jejuni [PDF]
Adherence and invasion studies were conducted in monolayers of Caco-2 cells. Three-day-old monolayers were inoculated with Campylobacter jejuni 81-176 at a bacterium/cell ratio of 1,000:1. Saturation studies demonstrated time- and dose-dependent saturation curves for C. jejuni cell association and invasion into Caco-2 cells.

Apoptosis in astrovirus-infected CaCo-2 cells
Cell death processes during human astrovirus replication in CaCo-2 cells and their underlying mechanisms were investigated. Morphological and biochemical alterations typical of apoptosis were analyzed in infected cells using a combination of techniques, including DAPI staining, the sub-G(0)/G(1) technique and the TUNEL assay. The onset of apoptosis was
