Available lysine in canned fish [PDF]
Otolithus argenteus was canned in brine by heat processing at two different steam pressures either at 0.70 kg/cm super(2) or 1.05 kg/cm super(2) for 25 minutes. The nutritive value of canned fish as evaluated by the total nitrogen and available lysine did not alter much either during heat processing or during storage over a period of nine months at 28 ...

Can negotiations prevent fish wars?
Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, 2000The standard alternating offer model is extended by integrating it with the Levhari and Mirman fish war model in order to investigate negotiations over fish quota. The disagreement actions are endogenous. The interior and linear Markov Perfect Equilibrium (MPE) results in immediate agreement on an efficient path of fish quota.

Canning fish and fish products
1997The contents of cans are generally ideal growth media for a vast array of micro-organisms. In particular, and in contrast to other prepared food products for retail sale, they will readily support the growth of anaerobic over aerobic organisms. Since the most familiar signs of food spoilage reflect the growth of aerobes, this could lead to contaminated

Fish can be First – Advances in Fish Transgenesis for Commercial Applications
Transgenic Research, 2003Over the past 15 years researchers have generated stable lines of several species of transgenic fish important for aquaculture. 'All-fish' growth hormone (GH) gene constructs and antifreeze protein (AFP) genes have been successfully introduced into the fish genome resulting in a significant acceleration of growth rate and an increase in cold and freeze
