Harnessing Trace Elements: Novel Radiosensitization Strategies for Enhanced Cancer Radiotherapy

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Radiotherapy (RT) is one of the core methods of comprehensive cancer treatment. Globally, more than 40% of cancer patients rely on radiotherapy to achieve tumor control, cure or palliative relief. However, radiation resistance, immunosuppression and normal tissue injury limit its clinical application.

Human iPSC‐NSC‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Can Alleviate Alzheimer's Disease‐Linked Impairments in Mitochondria, mTOR Signaling, Autophagy, and Hippocampal Neurogenesis

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 6, June 2026.
Intranasal administration of extracellular vesicles derived from human‐induced pluripotent stem cell‐derived neural stem cells in 5xFAD mice results in reduced oxidative stress, increased expression of proteins and genes associated with mitochondrial biogenesis and electron transport chain function, decreased mTOR activation, enhanced autophagy and ...

A Lavandula angustifolia flower extract and dipeptide‐4 blend modulates oxidative, glycative, autophagic and circadian pathways in human skin models

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 48, Issue 3, Page 477-488, June 2026.
The blend enhanced antioxidation, anti‐glycation, autophagy and circadian regulation in cell and skin models. Key markers included mitochondrial ROS, γ‐H2AX, AGEs, ATP, melatonin, LC3 and SOD. Significant improvements were visualized via fluorescence and quantified with statistical markers.

Locomotor muscle dysfunction and rehabilitative exercise training in fibrotic interstitial lung disease: Where are we at and where could we go?

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 6, Page 2860-2879, 1 June 2026.
Abstract Exercise limitation is a cardinal feature of fibrotic interstitial lung disease arising from pulmonary gas exchange, respiratory mechanical and cardio‐circulatory abnormalities. More recently, it has been recognized that impairment in locomotor muscle function (e.g., reduced muscle mass/strength or heightened fatigability) might also play a ...
