Characterization, Identification, and Antioxidant Mechanism of Antioxidant Peptides From Schisandra chinensis Based on Peptidome and Molecular Docking/Dynamics

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
Schisandra chinensis peptides (SCP) exhibited potent in vitro antioxidant activity and repaired UVB‐induced oxidative damage in HaCaT cells, while demonstrating excellent stability and biosafety. SCP also activated the Keap1/Nrf2 pathway, with IFSPWL identified as the key bioactive peptide that forms the most stable Keap1 complex via integrated ...

Silver and Gold Nanoparticles Promote Antimicrobial Activity and Modulate Inflammation in Escherichia coli‐Infected Wounds

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, Volume 114, Issue 6, June 2026.
Schematic representation of the immunomodulatory effects of nanoparticles in an E. coli‐contaminated wound. Pathogen recognition by M1 macrophages through TLRs and CD11 leads to the release of pro‐inflammatory mediators (MMPs, NO, TNF‐α, IL‐6, IL‐1β). Treatment with nanocurcumin (Cur NPs), silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), and ...

Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: Molecular Staging, Risk Factors, Therapeutics, and Emerging Trends

open access: yesMed Research, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 309-342, June 2026.
The heterogeneous landscape of DPN can be unified through a tripartite pathogenic model encompassing progressive stages of metabolic dysregulation, chronic inflammation, and overt neuronal damage. Within this framework, six clinical subtypes were identified, namely, hyperglycemia‐driven, dyslipidemia‐driven, inflammation‐driven, dysvascularity‐driven ...

Oxidative Stress in the Tumor Immune Microenvironment: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Perspectives

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Oxidative stress is involved in several key processes in cancer, including redox regulation, DNA damage, post‐translational modifications, transcriptional regulation, epigenetic modifications, metabolic reprogramming, cell death, and immune modulation. These mechanisms collectively influence tumor progression, immune evasion, and therapeutic responses,

Assessment of Antimicrobial Activity, Membrane Integrity, and Oxidative Stress of Green Synthesized Silver Nanoparticles: In Vitro and Molecular Docking Studies

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
Green Synthesized Silver Nanoparticles: In Vitro and Molecular Docking Studies. Silver nanoparticles were synthesized using Acacia karroo aqueous leaves extract for the first time, as evidenced by a characteristic UV–Vis absorption peak at 424 nm. Spherical morphologies were observed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron ...

Magnetic Nickel‐Containing Heterogeneous Catalysts for the Heck Reaction: Catalyst Design, Performance, and Sustainability

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
This schematic outlines a general Heck coupling using magnetic nickel‐based catalysts. The reactants are mixed and heated to promote carbon–carbon bond formation and produce a substituted alkene product. After completion, an external magnet enables rapid separation of the nickel catalyst from the reaction mixture.
