Low pressure carbonylation of benzyl chloride = Die carbonylierung von benzylchlorid bei niedrigen drücken [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
For carbonylations, metal carbonyls, particularly cobalt and iron carbonyls, are often used as catalysts. These reactions take place under rather drastic reaction conditions, e.g. 200–300 °C and 60–100 MPa.

Dietary Ergothioneine as a Novel Anti‐Aging Nutraceutical: Mechanisms, Bioavailability, and Future Perspectives

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Ergothioneine (EGT), a natural thiol derivative, has gained attention as a geroprotective nutraceutical. Preclinical research shows EGT scavenges free radicals, maintains mitochondrial integrity, slows telomere erosion, and regulates proteostasis via autophagy and senescent cell clearance.

Optimization and Scaling up of the Azaindole Derivatives Synthesis

open access: yesЖурнал органічної та фармацевтичної хімії
In this study, an optimized method for the synthesis of azaindoles was developed and successfully scaled up to a 100 g batch. Improved yields were observed when using electron-deficient azaheterocycles and substrates bearing electron-withdrawing ...

Cellular recycling of proteins in seed dormancy alleviation and germination

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2016
Each step of the seed-to-seed cycle of plant development including seed germination is characterized by a specific set of proteins. The continual renewal and/or replacement of these biomolecules are crucial for optimal plant adaptation.

Thermodynamic Insights Into Direct Methane to Methanol Conversion Using O2 and CO2 Oxidants

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
A thermodynamic analysis compares O2 and CO2 for the direct partial oxidation of methane to methanol. While O2 offers higher theoretical conversions, it poses safety risks and favors total oxidation. CO2 presents a safer, more sustainable alternative despite its thermodynamic limitations.
