Organocatalytic B–H Functionalization of Carboranes via Photo‐Induced Hydrogen Atom Transfer
Boron‐centered radicals of the parent icosahedral carborane (C2B10H12) have become increasingly accessible from prefunctionalized carborane derivatives.

Site-Selective B─H Activation via HAT Toward Xanthyl-closo-Carboranes as Bench-Stable Precursors of Organosulfur Boron Clusters. [PDF]
A light mediated direct regioselective B─H functionalization, via hydrogen atom transfer (HAT), is described. Unexplored xanthyl‐closo‐carboranes as novel bench‐stable and versatile platforms to access sulfur‐containing boron clusters are reported for the first time.

A Simple Way to Obtain a Decachloro Derivative of Cobalt Bis(dicarbollide)
A simple synthetic way to obtain a decachloro derivative of cobalt bis(dicarbollide) has been found. The reaction of cesium salt of cobalt bis(dicarbollide) anion with aluminum chloride in chloroform under reflux conditions results in Cs[3,3′-Co(4,7,8,9 ...

Towards the Application of Purely Inorganic Icosahedral Boron Clusters in Emerging Nanomedicine
Traditionally, drugs were obtained by extraction from medicinal plants, but more recently also by organic synthesis. Today, medicinal chemistry continues to focus on organic compounds and the majority of commercially available drugs are organic molecules,

Synthesis and X-ray characterization of 15- and 16-vertex closo-carboranes
The synthesis of closo-carboranes with more than 14 vertexes is challenging, and no examples have been reported to date. Herein, the authors present the long-sought 15- and 16-vertex closo-carboranes, in which the introduction of silyl groups to the two ...
