Prognostic value of fetal growth and prenatal functional echocardiography in tetralogy of FALLOT

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
First demonstration that fetal growth and pulmonary peak velocity at third trimester are independent predictors of postnatal outcome in Tetralogy of Fallot. This may enhance the accuracy of prenatal counseling and facilitate more individualized planning for delivery and neonatal care. Abstract Introduction Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) shows variability in

Integrating Dialysis in Ex Situ Machine Perfusion: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Outcomes

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Dialysis‐enhanced EVMP effectively maintains biochemical homeostasis, potentially mitigating metabolic stress and extending perfusion duration. Functional outcomes varied depending on the organ type, with the most pronounced benefits observed in cardiac perfusion.

Non‐canonical PKG1 regulation in cardiovascular health and disease

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
It is well established that the cyclic GMP‐dependent protein kinase I (PKG1) is canonically activated by cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), enabling its regulation of vascular tone, cardiac function and smooth muscle homeostasis. However, diverse non‐canonical stimuli of PKG1 have also been identified.
