Acetylcholinesterase Inhibition and Antioxidant Activity of DHA‐Disubstituted Phospholipids

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, EarlyView.
1,2‐Di‐DHA‐PC phospholipids in nutraceutical form may cross the blood‐brain barrier and inhibit acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, with an efficacy similar to galantamine. This suggests their potential as neuroprotective agents in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Tomato Puree Enrichment in a High‐Fat Meal Reduces Postprandial Plasma and Adipose Tissue Inflammation Biomarkers in Healthy Male Adults: A Crossover Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, EarlyView.
Tomato puree enrichment in the context of a high‐fat meal in healthy adult males leads to a significant reduction of systemic postprandial and adipose tissue postprandial inflammation. ABSTRACT The postprandial period is marked by increased plasma inflammatory biomarkers and heightened adipose tissue inflammation.

Asymmetric Ketocyanine Dyes with an Extended Polymethine Chain

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
This work is dedicated to the synthesis and investigation of the structure, spectral and fluorescent properties of new asymmetric long‐chain ketocyanine dyes. It has been shown also that these compounds can serve as convenient precursors for the synthesis of highly asymmetric polymethine dyes, which exhibit large Stokes shifts and comparatively bright ...
