Molecular weight between entanglements for κ- and ι-carrageenans in an ionic liquid. [PDF]
The molecular weight between entanglements (Me) for κ- and ι-carrageenans, sulfated galactans, was examined in concentrated solutions using an ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate as a solvent.

A fully edible wheat bran–algae substrate is fabricated through scalable mould‐compression and spray‐coating, enabling robust, food‐grade platforms for sustainable electronics. A chitosan barrier improves water resistance and ink compatibility, while activated‐carbon conductive films form uniform electrodes with Ohmic behaviour.

The anti-coagulant activity of some carrageenans [PDF]
Introduction The biological properties of the carrageenans and of certain other sulphated polysaccharides have been reviewed, and since the object of this work was to study the anticoagulant activity of intravenously-administered carrageenan, current ...

ANTICOAGULANT, FIBRINOLYTIC AND ANTIAGGREGANT ACTIVITY OF CARRAGEENANS AND ALGINIC ACID
Investigation of the effects of carrageenans and alginic acid on the coagulation and platelet aggregation systems was the aim of this study. The highest anticoagulant and fibrinolytic activities were found in lambda-carrageenan and Grateloupia dichotoma

Key demographic, biological, and material considerations that drive the need for advanced injectable bone cement technologies. Injectable bone cements (IBCs) are widely used in orthopaedic and craniofacial applications due to their minimally invasive delivery and ability to provide early mechanical stabilisation.

ABSTRACT In this study, the possibility of using aquafaba powder, derived from chickpea cooking water, as a natural emulsifier in the formulation of plant‐based coffee whitener was evaluated. For this purpose, coffee whiteners, which are emulsion type products, are obtained by high‐shear mixing followed by high‐pressure homogenization of the aqueous ...

Antiviral Activity of Carrageenans and Processing Implications
Carrageenan and carrageenan oligosaccharides are red seaweed sulfated carbohydrates with well-known antiviral properties, mainly through the blocking of the viral attachment stage. They also exhibit other interesting biological properties and can be used
