A Compact Inverter‐Based Temperature Compensation for a Subthreshold Analogue Front‐End in Noise‐Shaping SAR ADC

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This work proposes an adaptive temperature compensation technique to solve the significant temperature dependency of subthreshold analogue front‐ends (AFEs) in low‐power applications. Measurement results from a 180 nm CMOS chip, which utilizes a compact inverter‐based sensor, confirm the technique improves the average SNDR by 4.67 dB at low ...

Evaluation of an event‐driven 3FI ASIC for spectroscopic X‐ray detection with synchrotron radiation

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 1, Page 154-161, January 2026.
A new event‐driven, energy‐resolving ASIC intended for full‐field X‐ray fluorescence imaging is presented. Its frameless mode of operation was validated on a synchrotron beamline using a bump‐bonded, 2D segmented silicon sensor, demonstrating per‐pixel energy measurements with event‐driven readout.

Reversed Nested Miller‐Based Four Stage CMOS Amplifier Frequency Compensation Approach

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This work presents a novel frequency compensation method for four‐stage CMOS amplifiers, addressing the complexity and instability challenges prevalent in modern low‐voltage, low‐power electronic systems. The proposed approach employs nested differential gain stages combined with a single, compact Miller capacitor at the common output, which enables ...
