β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Proceedings of the Conference on Human and Economic Resources [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper will investigate the causal relationship between oil consumption and GNP. For this purpose, we will investigate the presence of cointegration among the variables and use a vector error correction model to test causality relationship. Empirical

Generalisations, causal relationships and moral responsibility [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Journal of Evidence & Proof, 2016
In Chapter 4 of his book Character in the Criminal Trial, Mike Redmayne addresses a series of non-epistemic arguments against the use of bad character evidence.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Genetically predicted gut microbiota mediate the association between plasma lipidomics and primary sclerosing cholangitis

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology
Background Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a complex disease with pathogenic mechanisms that remain to be elucidated. Previous observational studies with small sample sizes have reported associations between PSC, dyslipidemia, and gut microbiota ...

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Investigating causal associations between pneumonia and lung cancer using a bidirectional mendelian randomization framework

open access: yesBMC Cancer
Background Pneumonia and lung cancer are both major respiratory diseases, and observational studies have explored the association between their susceptibility. However, due to the presence of potential confounders and reverse causality, the comprehensive

Causal Relationship Between Psoriasis and Bullous Pemphigoid: A Mendelian Randomization Analysis

open access: yesDermatology Practical & Conceptual
Introduction: Psoriasis and bullous pemphigoid (BP) are the 2 major types of immune-mediated inflammatory skin diseases. Studies have reported the association between psoriasis and BP; however, no studies reported whether a causal relationship exists ...

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.
