Comparison of fatty acids biochemical quality in the caviar of reared and wild beluga, Huso huso [PDF]

open access: yesتغذیه آبزیان, 2017
In this study, the quality of fatty acids in sturgeon caviar were assessed and compared in rearedand wild specimens of beluga, Huso huso caught from the Caspian Sea. The fatty acids profile, n3/n6 and atherogenic and thrombogenic index were also measured.

Applicability of the European Union’s Building Renovation Assessment Framework in Spain

open access: yesEnvironmental and Climate Technologies, 2023
The energy renovation of buildings is one of the main keys to achieve the decarbonisation objectives of the European Union (EU). In response, the Commission Recommendation (EU) 2019/786 proposed an assessment framework based on Measurable Progress ...

Effect of Sturgeon Caviar on the Immune Function of Immunosuppressed Mice

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
This study aimed to investigate the immunoenhancing effects of sturgeon caviar on cyclophosphamide (CTX)-induced immunosuppressed mice. ICR (Institute of Cancer Research, ICR) mice were intraperitoneally injected with CTX to establish an ...

Axial muscle‐fibre orientations in larval zebrafish

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 246, Issue 4, Page 517-533, April 2025.
In 4 days post‐fertilization zebrafish larvae, the fast axial muscle fibres follow helical trajectories that taper towards the tail. Adjacent muscle fibres form substantial angles relative to each other to accommodate this pattern. Using a novel semi‐automatic method, we quantified 3D fibre angles over the whole muscle volume.

A Note on Local Polynomial Regression for Time Series in Banach Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work extends local polynomial regression to Banach space‐valued time series for estimating smoothly varying means and their derivatives in non‐stationary data. The asymptotic properties of both the standard and bias‐reduced Jackknife estimators are analyzed under mild moment conditions, establishing their convergence rates.

Milk Yield and Composition Curves During the Postweaning Machine‐Milking Period in Red Deer Hinds

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 69, Issue 3, June 2026.
Deer milk is a dairy product valued for its unique composition and market potential. Research into deer lactation dynamics remains limited. In this study, 4,386 test‐day records from 170 red deer (Cervus elaphus L.) hinds in New Zealand were used to model the milk yield and composition curves using random regression models based on Legendre polynomials.

Research of caviar vacuum drying processes

open access: yesVestnik MGTU
Fish caviar is a valuable product with high nutritional and taste qualities. Caviar contains a large amount of protein, which is one of the significant criteria for food products. Essential acids contained in caviar are of particular value.

The Shrinking Caspian Sea: Eco‐Hydrological Responses to Human and Climate Pressures

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The Caspian Sea, the Earth's largest inland water body, faces water level decline, drawing comparisons to the collapse of the Aral Sea. Unlike the Aral Sea, the relative roles of climatic variability, hydrological changes, and anthropogenic pressures on the Caspian Sea remain poorly understood.
