Killing potential of circulating neutrophils in renal tumors

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Medicine
Relevance. Currently, the study of the role of neutrophils in the development of renal cancer is of considerable interest. The study of the immunopathogenesis of renal cancer is determined by the need to use combined treatment with immunotherapy.

Antigen presenting subset of СD66b+CD16+CD33+HLA-DR+ neutrophilic granulocytes in acute osteomyelitis in children: Immunomodulating effects of immunotropic hexapeptide in an in vitro experimental system

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2023
Inclusion of neutrophilic granulocytes (NG) in inflammation depends on the expression of receptors providing the functions of NG. Acute osteomyelitis (AOM) occupies a central place among purulentinflammatory diseases in children.

Intracerebral Hemorrhage Induces Monocyte TNF Signaling in Patients That Is Suppressed by BAF312

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) causes high morbidity and mortality, with neurotoxic inflammation driven by infiltrating monocytes. This study is an in‐depth longitudinal examination of the immune response during the first week of ICH in the presence and absence of the immunomodulatory drug BAF312 (Siponimod).

Potential confusion of contaminating CD16+ myeloid DCs with anergic CD16+ NK cells in chimpanzees [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, 2011
AbstractPrecise identification of NK‐cell populations in humans and nonhuman primates has been confounded by imprecise phenotypic definitions. A common definition used in nonhuman primates, including chimpanzees, is CD3−CD8α+CD16+, and this is the dominant NK‐cell phenotype in peripheral blood.

Predictors of Subclinical Inflammatory Obesity: Plasma Levels of Leptin, Very Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol and CD14 Expression of CD16+ Monocytes

open access: yesObesity Facts, 2017
Objective: Predictors of subclinical inflammatory obesity (SIO) can be important tools for early therapeutic interventions in obesity-related comorbidities. Waist circumference (WC) and BMI have different SIO sensitivity.

2‐Deoxyglucose Dendrimer‐Enabled Niclosamide Delivery to FRβ‐Expressing Macrophages Alleviates Endometriosis Progression and Associated Hyperalgesia

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A folic acid (FA)‐conjugated 2‐deoxyglucose dendrimer selectively targets FRβ+ macrophages in endometriotic lesions, enabling precise intracellular delivery of niclosamide. This nonhormonal nanomedicine enhances drug solubility, provides controlled intracellular release, suppresses lesion growth, reduces inflammation and pain, and establishes FRβ ...

Histopathological and immunohistochemical study in the anterior and posterior cruciate ligament of the knee with rheumatoid arthritis in Iraqi patients

open access: yesActa Marisiensis - Seria Medica
Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) causes structural changes and inflammatory responses which damage the knee tissues that include the cruciate ligaments.

Exercise-induced modulation of monocytes in breast cancer survivors

open access: yesBrain, Behavior, & Immunity - Health, 2021
Background: Exercise training reduces inflammation in breast cancer survivors; however, the mechanism is not fully understood. Objectives: The effects of acute and chronic exercise on monocyte toll-like receptor (TLR2 and 4) expression and intracellular ...

Ionizable Lipid‐Dependent Optimization of Steroid Lipid Nanoparticles With Tunable Immunomodulatory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel engineering strategy that establishes material design principles for incorporating anti‐inflammatory steroids into lipid nanoparticles to reduce LNP‐induced inflammation while retaining mRNA delivery. Results are validated in vitro and in three animal models of inflammation and autoimmunity in vivo.
