Mesenchymal Stromal Cell‐Mediated Intercellular Communication: Mapping the Interactome for Skeletal Muscle Homeostasis and Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liu et al. define a systems‐level interactome of fibroadipogenic progenitor (FAP)‐mediated signaling in skeletal muscle by integrating single‐cell transcriptomics with FAP depletion‐based perturbation analysis. Functional interrogation using a conditioned media bioassay links predicted signaling to multicellular outcomes, establishing a framework to ...

Regulatory role of CD8+ T lymphocytes in bone marrow eosinophilopoiesis

open access: yesRespiratory Research, 2006
Background There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that CD8+ T lymphocytes contribute to local allergen-induced eosinophilic inflammation. Since bone marrow (BM) responses are intricately involved in the induction of airway eosinophilia, we ...

Retinol (vitamin A) is a cofactor in CD3‐induced human T‐lymphocyte activation

open access: yes, 1997
Immunomodulatory effects of different retinoids have been demonstrated, both in vivo and in vitro, in different cellular lineages including human and murine thymocytes, human lung fibroblasts, Langerhans' cells, tumoral cells and natural killer (NK ...

Targeting UXS1‐Dependent Glucuronate Detoxification Potentiates Metformin's Anti‐Tumor Efficacy in Lung Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that metformin promotes glucuronic acid metabolism in lung adenocarcinoma by activating UGDH S476 phosphorylation and enhancing the conversion of UDPG to UDPGA based on metabolomics analysis. Through compound virtual screening, it is found that plantainoside targeting UGDH downstream UXS1 leads to UDPGA toxicity accumulation ...

Impact of Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester on Spinal Cord Inflammation in Mice Model of Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesJournal of Tropical Life Science
Since the majority of the current therapies lack effectiveness and efficiency in treating Multiple Sclerosis, in addition to their high cost, monitoring during usage, and the serious side effects associated with using this therapy, which in some cases ...

Intratumoral CD3+ T-Lymphocytes Immunoexpression and Its Association with c-Kit, Angiogenesis, and Overall Survival in Malignant Canine Mammary Tumors

open access: yesAnalytical Cellular Pathology, 2015
In this study 80 malignant CMT were submitted to immunohistochemical detection of CD3, c-kit, VEGF, and CD31, together with clinicopathological parameters of tumor aggressiveness. CD3+ T-cells and c-kit overexpression revealed a positive correlation with

Gut Microbiota Regulates Systemic Inflammatory Response and Compensatory Anti‐Inflammatory Response Syndromes by Targeting PF4+ Macrophages in Acute Pancreatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute pancreatitis (AP) begins with pancreatic local inflammation, leading to the onset of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), followed by compensatory anti‐inflammatory response syndrome (CARS), which causes immune paralysis and higher mortality rate.

CD3 ALDOSTERONISM, HEART AND VESSELS

open access: yesArtery Research, 2015
It has been documented that absolute aldosterone excess in patients with primary aldosteronism (PA) has been associated with higher risk of heart, vascular and kidney damage independent on blood pressure and resulting in increased total cardiovascular ...

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Identifies a microRNA Orchestrating Pleiotropic Resistance to Targeted Therapy and T Cell Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.
