Structure, Mechanics, and Mechanobiology of Fibrocartilage Pericellular Matrix Mediated by Type V Collagen

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study defines the structure, mechanics, and mechanobiology of the fibrocartilage pericellular matrix (PCM) using the murine meniscus, showing how collagen V deficiency alters PCM properties and disrupts cell mechanosensitive signaling. Findings emphasize the critical role of PCM in fibrocartilage mechanobiology and suggest targeting it can enhance

Exosomes Promote Ovarian Cancer Cell Invasion through Transfer of CD44 to Peritoneal Mesothelial Cells

open access: yesMolecular Cancer Research, 2016
Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) cells metastasize within the peritoneal cavity and directly encounter human peritoneal mesothelial cells (HPMC) as the initial step of metastasis.

Activation of HTR2B Suppresses Osteosarcoma Progression through the STAT1‐NLRP3 Inflammasome Pathway and Promotes OASL1+ Macrophage Production to Enhance Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Activation of HTR2B suppresses osteosarcoma progression through the STAT1‐NLRP3 inflammasome pathway and promotes OASL1+ Macrophage production to enhance anti‐tumor immunity. Abstract Osteosarcoma is a primary malignant bone tumor originating from mesenchymal tissue, and associated with poor prognosis.

First-in-human phase I clinical trial of RG7356, an anti-CD44 humanized antibody, in patients with advanced, CD44-expressing solid tumors

open access: yesOncoTarget, 2016
Transmembrane glycoprotein CD44 is overexpressed in various malignancies. Interactions between CD44 and hyaluronic acid are associated with poor prognosis, making CD44 an attractive therapeutic target.

Disruption of ARID1B Recruitment to the Nuclear Pore Complex as a New Anticancer Therapeutic Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies ARID1B as a chromatin‐bound driver of tumor growth in TNBC. ARID1B impairs ARID1A function and directly activates oncogenic programs through SWI/SNF remodeling. Its nuclear localization, mediated by the KPNA2–KPNB1–RANBP2 import machinery, is essential for its tumor‐promoting activity.
