A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Downregulation of Cdc6 inhibits tumorigenesis of osteosarcoma in vivo and in vitro
Osteosarcoma is the most frequent malignant bone cancer in teenagers. In this study, cell division cycle 6 (Cdc6) was upregulated in the tumor tissues from patients with osteosarcoma according to the results of RNA sequencing. Cdc6 has been considered as a candidate prognostic marker, which was associated with cell apoptosis and cell cycle.

Diversity and evolution of multiple
Background While multiple replication origins have been observed in archaea, considerably less is known about their evolutionary processes. Here, we performed a comparative analysis of the predicted (proved in part) orc/cdc6-associated replication ...

CDT1 is an essential protein for DNA replication licensing that loads the MCM complex, the eukaryotic replicative DNA helicase, onto replication origins. Overexpression of CDT1 induces cell cycle arrest at the S phase. Here we showed CDT1 inhibits the progression of replication forks by interacting with the MCM complex, leading to the stalling and ...

CDKs Give Cdc6 a License to Drive into S Phase [PDF]
The accumulation of Cdc6 promotes the initiation of DNA replication. In this issue of Cell, Mailand and Diffley (2005) show that phosphorylation of Cdc6 by cyclin-dependent kinases prevents its destruction by the anaphase promoting complex (APC). This simple mechanism explains how the APC simultaneously spares Cdc6 while targeting for destruction ...

Cloning and characterization of theSaccharomyces cerevisiaeCDC6 gene
The yeast cell division cycle gene CDC6 was isolated by complementation of a temperature-sensitive cdc6 mutant with a genomic library. The amino acid sequence of the 48 kDalton CDC6 gene product, as deduced from DNA sequence data, includes the three consensus peptide motifs involved in guanine nucleotide binding and GTPase activity, a target site for ...

CDC6 mRNA Expression Is Associated with the Aggressiveness of Prostate Cancer
Cell division cycle 6 (CDC6) is an essential regulator of DNA replication and plays important roles in the activation and maintenance of the checkpoint mechanisms in the cell cycle. CDC6 has been associated with oncogenic activities in human cancers; however, the clinical significance of CDC6 in prostate cancer (PCa) remains unclear.
