All assignment games with the same core have the same nucleolus [PDF]

open access: yes
There exist coalitional games with transferable utility which have the same core but different nucleoli. We show that this cannot happen in the case of assignment games. Whenever two assignment games have the same core, their nucleoli also coincide.

Fine‐Needle Aspiration of Salivary Gland Tumors With Low‐Grade Oncocytic Features: Focusing on Oncocytoma Versus Oncocytic Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Salivary gland fine‐needle aspirates (FNAs) with low‐grade oncocytic features are diagnostically challenging due to the substantial morphologic overlap between benign oncocytic tumors and their malignant mimickers. This study evaluates the diagnostic discriminators, performance, and risk of malignancy of these lesions using the ...

A geometric characterization of the nucleolus of the assignment game [PDF]

open access: yes
Maschler et al. (1979) provide a geometrical characterization for the intersection of the kernel and the core of a coalitional game, showing that those allocations that lie in both sets are always the midpoint of certain bargaining range between each ...

Oogenesis and germinal bed morphology of the brown anole (A. sagrei)

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The brown anole is a model species of the genus Anolis, a squamate (encompassing lizards and snakes) group widely studied in evolutionary, behavioral, and developmental biology. Full genome annotation, the establishment of gene editing techniques, and comprehensive description of reproductive tract morphology and embryogenesis in ...

Circannual Cycle of the Sertoli Cell Nucleolus in Roe Deer, Capreolus capreolus, and Seasonal Changes of Its Leydig Cells: An Ultrastructural Study

open access: yesFolia Veterinaria
Ruminant Sertoli cells, instead of a nucleolus with nucleolonema, have a vesicular nucleolus, first described as a multivesicular nuclear body (MNB). It consists of membrane vesicles and tubules covered with ribo-some-like granules. We studied the testes

Embryonic development of the Mediterranean starfish Hacelia attenuata

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Starfish play essential ecological roles as predators and ecosystem regulators; however, detailed developmental descriptions exist for only a handful of species, none of which are from the Mediterranean Sea. Results In this study, we provide the first full account of the development of the Mediterranean starfish Hacelia attenuata ...

Piezosurgical partial ostectomy of the incisive bone for an ossifying fibroma removal in a 4‐year‐old Warmblood gelding

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Ossifying fibromas are uncommon in horses and complete surgical excision with premaxillectomy, maxillectomy or mandibulectomy is recommended. Piezosurgery has been previously used in equines only in one study. Objective To report a case of ossifying fibroma treated with piezosurgery and to describe its follow‐up.

Finding nucleolus of flow game

open access: yes, 2009
We study the algorithmic issues of finding the nucleolus of a flow game. The flow game is a cooperative game defined on a network D=(V,E; ω). The player set is E and the value of a coalition S ⊆ E is defined as the value of a maximum flow from source to ...

Pharmacological effects of gastrodin: Insight into neurological diseases and mechanism in ferroptosis and pyroptosis

open access: yesIbrain, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 74-83, Spring 2025.
Pharmacological effects of gastrodin include prevention and treatment of cognitive decline and reperfusion injuries, anticonvulsion, antiepilepsy, antidepressants, and analgesia, which are related to antiferroptosis and antipyroptosis. Abstract Gastrodin, as an effective monomer of gastrodia elata, plays a significant role in anti‐inflammatory ...

Bisphenol M Induces Dose‐Dependent Hepatic Injury and Fibrotic Remodeling in Female Mice

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The safety of bisphenol analogs as alternatives to bisphenol A (BPA) is increasingly concerning. This study investigated the hepatotoxic effects of bisphenol M (BPM), a widely used BPA substitute, in 6‐week‐old female BALB/c mice exposed to 2.5, 5, and 10 mg/kg/day intraperitoneally for 14 days. Hepatic changes were assessed via histopathology,
