Abstract Background The dental syndrome EOTRH is a painful, progressive dental disease with an unknown aetiology. The often painful nature of EOTRH emphasises the need for a better knowledge of the underlying pathogenic mechanism and risk factors. A comparative analysis of haematological, biochemical and endocrine values in EOTRH‐affected and non ...

The effect of various implant materials on cementogenesis.
Various implant materials have been used to stimulate the regeneration of supporting bone lost from periodontal disease. In addition, the histologic features of bone regeneration associated with their implantation have been evaluated. Very little, however, seems to be known about the effect of implant materials on cementum formation.

Ontogeny reveals function and evolution of the hadrosaurid dinosaur dental battery [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Hadrosaurid dinosaurs, dominant Late Cretaceous herbivores, possessed complex dental batteries with up to 300 teeth in each jaw ramus. Despite extensive interest in the adaptive significance of the dental battery, surprisingly little is known

ABSTRACT Aim Limited bone support in suprabony defects hinders predictable regeneration, but adjunctive biologics can improve results. This systematic review and meta‐analysis aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of adjunctive biologics combined with open flap debridement (OFD) compared with OFD alone when treating suprabony defects.

The adaptive nature of the bone-periodontal ligament-cementum complex in a ligature-induced periodontitis rat model. [PDF]
The novel aspect of this study involves illustrating significant adaptation of a functionally loaded bone-PDL-cementum complex in a ligature-induced periodontitis rat model.

CEMP1 Induces Transformation in Human Gingival Fibroblasts. [PDF]
Cementum Protein 1 (CEMP1) is a key regulator of cementogenesis. CEMP1 promotes cell attachment, differentiation, deposition rate, composition, and morphology of hydroxyapatite crystals formed by human cementoblastic cells.

The Role of Wnt Signaling in Postnatal Tooth Root Development
Appropriate tooth root formation and tooth eruption are critical for achieving and maintaining good oral health and quality of life. Tooth eruption is the process through which teeth emerge from their intraosseous position to their functional position in
