MIS12 Is Required for Kinetochore‐Microtubule Attachment in Oocyte Meiosis

A model depicting the role of MIS12 in K‐MT attachment during oocyte meiosis. The presence of MIS12 stabilizes bipolar K‐MT attachments by maintaining the function of NDC80 and its interaction with TUBB. This, in turn, promotes KNL1 assembly and subsequent SAC protein recruitment to kinetochores.

The Role of Arp2/3 in End‐Resection During DNA Double‐Strand Break Repair

Arp2/3 has an evolutionarily conserved role in promoting 5’ to 3’ resection of DSBs, RAD51 filament formation, maintenance of the DNA damage checkpoint, increased mobility of DSBs, and relocation of damage in heterochromatin regions to the nuclear periphery.

SLE Presenting With Unilateral Loculated Pleural Effusion in a Young Hypertensive Female: A Rare Case Report and Literature Review

ABSTRACT SLE can rarely present with unilateral pleural effusion or hypertension. A 28‐year‐old woman with loculated exudative pleural effusion was diagnosed with SLE and lupus nephritis fulfilling EULAR/ACR criteria, treated with pigtail drainage, corticosteroids, and hydroxychloroquine, with good recovery.
