RBC Membrane‐Camouflaged Nanosystem‐Mediated Synergistic Drug Combination for Enhanced Anti‐Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An RBC membrane camouflaged, cell‐penetrating peptides R8‐based drug delivery system is constructed to achieve a synergistic combination of natural compounds triptolide (TP) and celastrol (Cel), inducing tumor cell apoptosis, reducing tumor metastasis invasion and triggering autophagy disorder in breast cancer and liver cancer.

Metabolic products of soluble epoxide hydrolase are essential for monocyte chemotaxis to MCP-1 in vitro and in vivo

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2013
Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1)-induced monocyte chemotaxis is a major event in inflammatory disease. Our prior studies have demonstrated that MCP-1-dependent chemotaxis requires release of arachidonic acid (AA) by activated cytosolic ...

μ-Slide Chemotaxis: A new chamber for long-term chemotaxis studies

open access: yesBMC Cell Biology, 2011
Background Effective tools for measurement of chemotaxis are desirable since cell migration towards given stimuli plays a crucial role in tumour metastasis, angiogenesis, inflammation, and wound healing.

Self-Generated Chemoattractant Gradients: Attractant Depletion Extends the Range and Robustness of Chemotaxis

open access: yesPLoS Biology, 2016
Chemotaxis is fundamentally important, but the sources of gradients in vivo are rarely well understood. Here, we analyse self-generated chemotaxis, in which cells respond to gradients they have made themselves by breaking down globally available ...

Psoriasis and Leukocyte Chemotaxis.

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Dermatology, 1987
Transepidermal migration of leukocytes, with resultant formation of microscopic or macroscopic sterile subcorneal pustules is a phenomenon characteristically noted in psoriasis and related sterile pustular dermatoses. It is natural to assume the presence of potent neutrophil chemotactic substances in the subcorneal portion of the lesional epidermis ...

Engineered MSC Aggregates with E/N‐Cadherin and IL‐6 Preconditioning for the Treatment of Systemic Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered 3D‐Cad/IL6‐MSC, developed through synergistic hE/N‐cad‐Fc and IL‐6 preconditioning, show remarkable therapeutic potential for systemic sclerosis. These engineered MSC aggregates reduce pathogenic inflammatory cell infiltration and restore immune balance among CD4+ T‐cell populations, offering a promising approach to optimize MSC based ...

Exosome secretion promotes chemotaxis of cancer cells

open access: yesCell Adhesion & Migration, 2017
Migration of cells toward chemical cues, or chemotaxis, is important for many biologic processes such as immune defense, wound healing and cancer metastasis.

An agarose spot assay for chemotactic invasion

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2010
The directed motility of cells toward the source of a soluble chemical (chemotaxis) plays a role in events ranging from immune function to cancer progression.

Molecular Mechanisms of Extracellular Vesicle Biogenesis and Their Impact on the Design of Custom EVs

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are pivotal mediators of intercellular communication and disease, yet the fundamental mechanisms controlling their biogenesis and cargo selection remain unclear. This limitation hinders their diagnostic utility and therapeutic development.
