Turnover of cholesteryl esters of plasma lipoproteins in the rat
Turnover of individual classes of cholesteryl esters (classified on the basis of the degree of unsaturation of the fatty acid moiety) in rat plasma lipoproteins and liver was studied after the administration of mevalonic acid-5-3H and mevalonic acid-2 ...

Cholesteryl ester turnover in human plasma lipoproteins during cholestyramine and clofibrate therapy
The effects of cholestyramine and of clofibrate on the turnover rates of individual cholesteryl esters in whole human plasma and in each of the three classes of plasma lipoproteins have been studied. Four hyperlipidemic patients (two under treatment with

Induction of Hyphae in Cultures of Pityrosporum by Cholesterol and Cholesterol Esters
The effect of cholesterol and cholesterol esters on Pityrosporum cultures has been studied. A mixture of 0.25% to 2.0% of cholesterol:cholesteryl stearate:glyceryl monostearate (2.0:1.5:2.0) added to Bacto Yeast Morphology Agar plus oleic acid was able to induce hyphae in cultures of both Pityrosporum orbiculare and P. ovale.
