Ensemble Learning for Breast Cancer Lesion Classification: A Pilot Validation Using Correlated Spectroscopic Imaging and Diffusion-Weighted Imaging

open access: yesMetabolites, 2023
The main objective of this work was to evaluate the application of individual and ensemble machine learning models to classify malignant and benign breast masses using features from two-dimensional (2D) correlated spectroscopy spectra extracted from five-

Gut Mycobiota‐Associated Tryptophan Catabolites Protect Against Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Nano-Windmill Inhibits Macrophage Activation Via Choline Uptake Reduction

open access: yesInternational Dental Journal
Aim or purpose: This study aims to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of a novel tetrahedral framework nucleic acid (tFNA)-based siRNA delivery system, named “nano-windmill,” which targets slc44a1 to inhibit macrophage activation by reducing ...

Effects of Rumen-Protected Choline on Growth Performance, Carcass Characteristics and Blood Lipid Metabolites of Feedlot Lambs

open access: yesAnimals, 2020
Choline is an essential nutrient for animals, but dietary choline is degraded in the rumen, and thus, should be offered as rumen-protected choline (RPC) in ruminants.

Fibronectin1‐Expressing Subicular Circuits Selectively Govern the Retrieval of Novel Object Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fibronectin 1 (FN1)‐expressing subicular subpopulations encode novel object preference and selectively govern retrieval of novel object recognition (NOR) via affecting excitability of entorhinal‐projecting circuit through large conductance Ca2+‐activated potassium (BK) channel. ABSTRACT Novel object recognition (NOR), referring to the cognitive ability

Effects of Choline on DNA Methylation and Macronutrient Metabolic Gene Expression in In Vitro Models of Hyperglycemia

open access: yes, 2016
Choline is an essential nutrient that plays an important role in lipid metabolism and DNA methylation. Studies in rodents suggest that choline may adversely affect glycemic control, yet studies in humans are lacking. Using the human hepatic and placental

Combating VEGFA‐siRNA‐Induced Metabolic Reprogramming via Glucose Utilization Deprivation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ionizable lipid nanoparticle co‐delivers VEGFA siRNA and glucose oxidase to tumors to counteract VEGFA knockdown‐induced, glutamine‐driven metabolic compensation. Enzymatic glucose consumption reverses the adaptive pathways and restores metabolism toward baseline, thereby sensitizing tumors to therapy.

Dietary choline requirement in slight methionine-deficient diet for juvenile gibel carp (Carassius auratus gibelio)

open access: yes, 2012
A 10-week feeding trial was conducted in a flow-through system to determine dietary choline requirement for juvenile gibel carp (Carassius auratus gibelio) (5.5 +/- 0.1 g).

Data_Sheet_1_Saccharomyces Boulardii Ameliorates Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis in Mice Induced by a Methionine-Choline-Deficient Diet Through Gut-Liver Axis.docx

open access: yes, 2022
Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is affecting people worldwide. Changes in the intestinal microbiome are crucial to NASH. A previous study showed that eradicating intestinal fungi ameliorates NASH; however, the role of intestinal fungi in the ...
