Oxidative Damage, Energy Imbalance, and Behavioral Disruptions in Girardia tigrina Exposed to Treated Sewage Effluents

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study assessed the ecotoxicological effects of treated sewage on the freshwater planarian Girardia tigrina, integrating biochemical, energetic, and behavioral biomarkers. Planarians were exposed for 48 h to different concentrations of treated sewage (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 100%) and compared to controls using commercial water and water from

Investigation of the Protective Effect of Morin on Oxidative Stress and Apoptosis in Malathion‐Induced Hepatotoxicity in Rats

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Malathion (MAL) is a widely used organophosphate pesticide associated with hepatotoxicity through oxidative stress and apoptosis. Morin, a naturally occurring flavonoid, exhibits potent antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory properties. This study investigated oxidative stress, inflammatory, and apoptotic alterations induced by acute and subacute ...

Dynamic SPECT Assessment of Hepatic Function in Patients With Liver Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Dynamic Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (dynSPECT) is an advanced functional imaging modality that enables estimation of temporal changes in radiopharmaceutical distribution and physiological function. While dynSPECT has been employed in several clinical applications, it has not been widely applied to liver imaging ...

The Quantitative Determination of Etonium by the Enzymatic Kinetic-Spectrophotometric Method

open access: yesЖурнал органічної та фармацевтичної хімії
The use of the cholinesterase enzyme as a component of the analytical system has made it possible to develop a new kinetic-spectrophotometric method, which is alternative to the pharmacopoeial method, for determining the quaternary ammonium salt ...

Transcriptional responses of Aedes aegypti chemosensory tissues in response to volatile DEET and citronella oil

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, EarlyView.
Aedes aegypti females were significantly repelled by both volatile DEET and citronella oil in comparison to control (ethanol‐exposed) mosquitoes. Global gene expression changes were largest in the mosquito mouthparts, with notable downregulation of the three subunits comprising the mosquito CO2 receptor (Gr1, 2 and 3).
